The world is a cruel, cruel place. I've had a crush on this one guy at my work for several weeks now and everything was going great until now. I mean sure he never asked me out or anything, and I personally would probably never admit that I have a crush on him. But I thought that we could at least become good friends....I mean he seemed to like me too as a friend...or maybe something more :/. I don't know, but we flirt a lot. He even joked one time about whether or not I was jealous when I asked how his "boyfriend" was doing. It's a complicated story, but he is straight. There is just this weird friendship between him and this 40 year old man that everyone always jokes about. Anyways, yesterday night I found out that all this time, when he was asking me to hangout, it was just so he could set me up with this other guy at work that has a crush on me. *sniff*

I am so confused right now. I am thinking about giving the guy that ACTUALLY likes me a chance since he just finish confessing that he likes me. But my heart still really likes the guy that tried to set me up. I just don't get my crush. Sure, he acts like a jerk, but I never thought that he actually was one. And how about all those times he went out of his way to help me. That was all for nothing too. All this time, he was just trying to help his friend get with me. I feel like so.bbing. Love really, really, really suxs. T_T What am I going to do now?

OMMMGG! The HarryxHermione Curse!

Okay, now before all the H/Hr fans start throwing rotten tomatoes and extremely sharp objects at me *cowers in fear*, let me just say that the title is deceiving. What I mean from the word "curse" is that from the beginning I was a neutral shipper when it came to Harry Potter. I've never read the book so I usually just went by what people said about the book online.
But ironically, I have watched all three of the movies. So when people said that Rowling had decided to make Hermione/Ron the canon couple as opposed to H/Hr I was neutral to that as well. I mostly just gave it a shrug and moved on with my life since I didn't really care. This was quite different from my sister who went absolutely insane after the third movie came out and everybody started talking about the potential "Cho Chung" thing. Let's just say she ended up being a Cho basher and probably still is because she was a MAJOR Harry/Hermione fan. And when I told her that Rowling had decided to go with Ron/Hermonie she flipped again because she couldn't even wrap her mind around the idea of Hermonie falling in love with Ron since he was no Harry and she also found him not as attractive as Harry. At any rate, I use to always tease her when she started spazzing everytime there was a Harry/Hermione scene by saying "You now that they're not going to get together, right???" Yeah, I know it sounds mean but she knows I'm just teasing and usually she just gives me one of those "Psst, Whatever!" looks and continues with her spazzing.

Anyways, getting back to my point. I just watched "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" today and well I actually kind of liked it. I mean Harry/Hermonie that is. I never considered any of their previous interaction romantic but wow this movie is like so misleading. After all, in my heart I knew that Harry and Hermonie weren't going to end up together and yet this movie sooo made it seem like they were. What really won me over was the infamous tent scene. The way Hermonie asks Harry if he's okay and then she just gets soo overly emotional that she turns around with that "Oh Harry!" look and suddenly pounces on him with a hug. He seems stunned at first but then hugs her back. Aaaww.... Then there is that other scene where Hermonie comes into the ball all dressed up and it is Harry that sees her come down the stairs. And he actually smiles like "OMG! She is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen" look on his face. *Spazzes* What a romantic scene!

In a way, I feel like maybe the person who plays Hermione might have fallen in love with Harry's character even-though the real Hermonie doesn't love Harry in that way. I'm not saying that that the actress loves the person that plays Harry but just Harry Potter the character. As a result, she looks like she's lusting after Harry everytime they are in a scene together. I mean that whole "I'm scared for you" line and how she suddenly switches places from where she is standing and looks at him deeply as he looks out into the horizon. *heart stops* OMG! They are sooooooo cute together!!!!!!!!

*Screams in horror*

Oh no....I've become a Harry/Hermione shipper! It's contagious! Run for the hills!!!!!!

*runs away frantically screaming*

That's what I meant by curse. ^^U

Wow! Not even a month and I'm switching layouts already! But it's okay, I love being eccentric. It keeps my creative juices flowing. lol Anyways, not much to say except that I'm really excited by the Nick commercial, though as always I don't want to let my hopes up only to have them crushed into the ground. I don't think my zutara heart could take another major disappointment like "The Cave of Two Lovers". So I'll keep my cynical face on for now while squeeing on the inside. ^^U Heh!

Although, for Christmas I wish all the Zutaras could write to Nick or Santa (Because he's Saint Nick lol) and ask them to make zutara happen. I don't care if it's only as an implied ending but oh how I wish zutara could become canon for real.

That is my one and only Christmas wish this year. =)

So I got my French test back yesterday. As predicted, I didn't do so well. I got an 83%. That's not that bad but it's stupid how much I messed up on the minor things such as not putting l'après-midi or ça vous plaît instead of ça vous plaît comme travail. Shouldn't I at least get half credit or something? And then I got the "what time does class start?" question wrong because mon professeur added the 10 minute leeway we have to get to class rather than the supposed starting time. Now that really sucks! *deep sigh* Oh well, I guess there is always the next test, followed by the final. Man I really need to work on my pronounciation. The teacher kept correcting every word that came out of my mouth. Hmmm...And let me tell you that was far from fun unfortunately. :(

Maybe I should start writing everything in français from now on? lol Now that would be a scream. ^^

My head is still dizzy thinking about it. @_@ However, I'm happy with how it turned out. And the background texture matched the other boxes pretty well. But it's ridiculous how much time I put into rearranging and matching the colors. I could have written a whole book by now. Eeerrr..Nonetheless, I'm just glad that the whole process ended well. <lj:music>torn between two destinies</lj:music>

It's kind of funny, but lately I've been rather bothered by this whole "Zutara canon or no canon" thing. In a way, I would really really really like to see zutara become canon and yet, on the other hand I don't want to see any corny blushing or hugs. Just imagining Katara interact the way she does with Aang to Zuko sends a chill shudder down my spine.
Don't get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY LUV all the cutsy moments zutara have in fanfiction and of course i love them in fanart. However, I just can't imagine them in a romance outside of fanfiction because I know that it is only the fanfiction writers who can inact the most accurate and breathtaking scenes for them. *sighs* This definitely causes a dilemma since I really want something to happen and yet I don't want it to happen badly. I really don't want Zuko to become the bitter end of a love triangle if they decide to make Katara end up with Aang, which I am 500,000,000,000% against. Is it possible to want something sooo much that you're afraid it won't live up to your ideals? That's how I feel but yet I sooooooooooooooooooooooo want Zutara to be canon.

I guess in a way, I want zutara to have more of an implied ending rather than one that we actually see happen. It would be nice if maybe they could get a neat story arc that binds there destinies together rather than have them do all the blushing and hugging that goes on with kataang. I just can't picture Zutara romancing outside of fanfiction. But in a way, I still want the series to imply that Zuko and Katara were destined to be together whether or not they realize it by the show's end. Perhaps the most obvious way is to integrate the Oma and Shu legend. It would be so cool if maybe zutara were on opposing sides in their past life. Like Katara was Omu and Zuko was Shu. That would mean Katara was once part of the firenation and Zuko was once part of the watertribe. Then maybe, the story could go that because of the tragedy that happened in their previous romance, they were destined to meet again as enemies once more because history was planning to repeat itself. Only this time, Zuko is a part of the firenation and Katara is part of the watertribe. However, unlike their previous ending which ended in tragedy, Zuko and Katara are able save each other from suffering the same fate. And for that, the future romance that they will eventually have brings to a close a romance that began thousands of years ago. That would be so romantic. ^^

I could picture it now, Zuko standing on the cliff that sits above the capital of the firenation looking down grimly at the destruction beneath him. He is shocked and saddened and yet the look on his face seems emotionless as he stands simply starring. Then Katara walks up next to him from behind, first looking at him before turning and lowering her eyes to the city of ruins beneath them. She makes a comment about how much destruction and pain war can cause. Zuko listens but he doesn't respond nor does he look at her. However, she doesn't seem to notice as she continues on to say something about people's lives being altered forever because of the greed and selfishness of a few. Still no response from Zuko as she eyes him briefly from the corner of her eye. "In a way," she continues "it makes us wonder if the nations will ever find peace again". This catches Zuko's attention as he turns to look at her for the first time since the fall of his former home. Neither of them speak, simply absorbing the silence around them. They look deeply into each other's eyes and for a moment it seems they are piercing into each other's souls. However, no expressions are changed as he turns back to look at the darkened horizon looming in the distance. Katara seems disappointed, closing her eyes for a moment to inhale a deep sigh that had begun to overwhelm her. But it is then that she hears his voice utter "Perhaps someday they will". The blue eyed girl opens her eyes suddenly, as if unable to comprehend what he had just said. But after a second or two, the original context that the response was directly towards becomes clear and her clear blue eyes softens at the realization. She sees him half smile at her for a split second in his own subtle way which surprisingly brings a soft smile to her lips as well. She repeats "Perhaps, someday" as if a spark of hope had been lifted onto her features and soon she finds herself closer beside him, shoulder to shoulder. They look at each other again, only this time through the corners of their eyes before turning to stare at the morning sun beginning to glimmer over the horizon of the ruined city. A new day has begun and in a moment of weakness or strength, the hands of two former enemies collide into a soft embrace with nothing but the orange glowing sky before them and the ruins of the city beneath them. The perfect end to a long drawn out tale.

That really would be my perfect ending. Something completely epic. :)

Okay, I am on the most out of this world, post Halloween high ever!!!! All the candy has gone to my head and I feel like jumping rope about 500 million times right now. No, seriously it's that bad. In a way, this kind of reinforces why I don't eat candy. *Gasps from the audience* Yeah, I don't but oh the candy is sooo good right now. And I guess because my body is so not use to candy that I'm getting high off six or seven pieces of them. -_-U Very sad, but true unfortunately.

^^U

Anyways, I did make some manips before I went completely insane and before Halloween, of course. So I wanted to share them with everyone, even-though I had inititally hoped to presented them with some icons as well. However, I'm not sure when I'll be calm <strike>or sane</strike> enough to make icons & manips again so I thought why not. Although, my sugar high did give me one little bizarre inspiration for some of my manips.

Can anyone guess for which ones ? ^-^

I know something you don't know....

*Laughs manically before skipping away with to frolic in large fields of flowers???*

Audience: O_o

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Talk about miscommunication

So yesterday, my family and I were suppose to go to my older sister's little fashion show but some miscommunication led to some unpleasant consequences. It turns out my mom thought that the fashion show was suppose to be tomorrow so she went to her weekend classes. As a result when my sister called to confirm when she was gonna pick us up, my mom ended up missing. This is so sad since we were suppose to be celebrating my sister's birthday which was on Friday. Well, anyways my little sis and I ended up going while my mom, because she turned off her cellphone ended up missing. We tried to call her sooooo many times and yet all we ever got was her answering machine. Overall, I thought the show was alright. Kind of boring since I'm not into fashion *gasp from the audience*. Yeah, it's a such a surprise since everyone would think of all things I would be a girly girl. I guess in a way I am but just not when it comes to fashion shows. They are very boring and some of the models looked very inexperienced. Also there was this one arrogant blonde that came out thinking she was the greatest thing in the world and she practically was trying to absorb the attention like a sponge. She wasn't even that pretty but she acted like she was and man all I could think was have some dignity for crying out loud. There is a difference between being confident and acting like a whore. I'm sorry but she was pretty much the latter. My sister did alright though. She was one of the models and I loved the black dress she modeled. It was very elegant and yet not whory at all. Very sophisticated kind of like her. Anyways, yeah the whole show was a snooze but it was okay for something me and my younger sister had to go to.

Anywyas, after the show, my other sis and I got to our older sister's house. It was pretty nice. Not big but really cozy and it had two bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Pretty good for the price she was paying. We stayed there for God knows how long but after some more calling of our mom we all decided to go out for dinner. Her boyfriend treated us at Pasta Pomodoro. It was okay, although my dish could have been better. Ewwwwww...that Rigotani that I had was nasty and it tasted like there was a lot of bacon fat in it. *shudders* I hope not all the meals are like that. However, overall I had a pretty nice time. Oh at by the time we sat down for dinner we finally reached our mom so it was a nice conclusion to a semi-hectic evening, don't you think? :)

ZOOOMMMMGGGG! Twitches

    <lj:music>none</lj:music>

I can't believe it but I was watching "Twitches" last night on Disney Channel with my sister and it made me realize how much Zuko/Katara should be together. I mean there were so many parallels and reasons that I just can't begin to explain. *sighs* Let's just say that I've come to realize that if Zutara doesn't happen then the creators of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" must be the most clueless idiots in the world. *cough* Mike and Brian *cough*.

*******CONTAINS SPOILERS*******

Anyways, Twitches" is a movie based on this book about two twin sisters who were born in a magical world during the time of a Great War *cough* Avatar *cough*. In this magical world, the sun and the moon coexist together in harmony. In other words, from the castle you can see both the Sun and Moon existing together. This was because the twins' parents (Miranda and Aaragon) drew their power from the sun and the moon, which was why they wore a pendant that had a cresent moon half encircling a sun. Anyways, their parents were fighting this thing called the "darkness" which one night was able to overpower their parents because Miranda was giving birth to the twins, leaving Aaragon to fight the "darkness" alone. As a result, he died and his soul was taken. However, before he died he gave all his power to the twins and that's why when the darkness tried to touch them he was repelled by the light glowing from their amulets one which was a sun and the other a moon. And after that, these two servants took the twins to the mortal world and separated them so that the darkness wouldn't be able to find them. Then after 21 years, the twins meet again except their happiness is short lived since now that they are together the darkness is after them again.

I won't give away all the details but the twins' relationship and the history of their parents made me realize that Zuko and Katara are incomplete without each other. THey are both strong and look as if they can take care of themselves but they never seem to be able to open up enough to let down all their barriers and be vulnerable in front of someone. However, I think that Zuko and Katara could probably be able to do that with each other since they don't hold these labeled expectations for each other and I think they can support each other and be strong for the other when the time comes. In other words, they'll probably have a more shared power kind of relationship. This is shown by the fact that like the twins and their father each twin draws power from either the sun or the moon. They are more vulnerable either in the day or at night. However, when they are together they are strong because what one doesn't have, the other makes up for. Furthermore, the ending showed that it wasn't the light that made them strong but the love that the twins and the parents had for each other that kept the "Darkness" away. In other words, Zutara can restore peace to the nations if they can fall in love with each other. Because their love and their power balances all the darkness and evil that threatens to tear them apart. It's a very powerful metaphor but sadly one that I don't know if Mike and Bryan will ever catch on to. :(

Oh well, at least their is always fanfiction. :) :) :)
